We took SD electronic only as a trial two years ago and user feedback
shows strong demand for further moves in this direction - they love it!
Now gone e-only on Oxford, Blackwell and cambridge too

With e-only, 'cancellation' is a ntion which gradually ceases to have
meaning. We have just chnaged our funding model so that journals
belonging to e-deals are not 'owned' by any department as print titles
are. We now fund the deals by a top-slice and only then allocate
departmental funds. My main concern is that we are operating a
supply based model rather than matching provision to known demand.
Publishers are beginning to offer more scope for title-by-title selection
but the problem here is that the total cost is likely to be more that if one
takes the full deal, and to work out the most cost-effective way of
procviding as close a match as possible to what is wanted - even if
you're sure what that is - is prohibitively time-consuming
