Another option that we at the University of Nottingham are looking at is Ex Libris' Verde
e-Resource Management product, which will be separate from ALEPH and which
we understand will interoperate with other systems.
The model Verde is built upon is based around the work of the Digital
Library Federation in documenting the actual workflows and data elements
(e.g. licenses and so on) that we all have to deal with on a daily basis to
ensure electronic resources are delivered to our users.
Ex Libris worked with a number of development partner libraries from the DLF
to turn this research into an actual product.
The outcome of the DLF's work in this area can be found at:
http://www.library.cornell.edu/cts/elicensestudy/dlfdeliverables/home.htm -
it is well worth reading if you have the time!

Hi,
Endeavor are developing a system at the moment that specifically targets the
back-end management of e-journals - it's more of a tool for librarians, but
my understanding is that it is/will be designed to integrate with a
front-end solution, such as TDNet.
See the Endeavor website: http://www.endinfosys.com/prods/meridian.htm
I have this info to hand as we use Voyager, but we don't use TDNet so I
can't really comment on that (although I have seen it). From what I know, in
terms of product placement, TDNet and Meridian are complementary to each
other, but I could be wrong about this.

Subject: Serials management systems
We at Roehampton University are looking at buuying a serials management
system that will enable us to better manage our e-journals and also
improve their accessibility for users.
I would be interested in your experiences of such systems and / or in-
house serials management systems.
