I suggested to SWETS that they didn't enable NHS SwetsWise accounts for this service as we could link to it direct through various local and national library journal lists plus our Dialog databases. They said fine they wouldn't enable it. Suggest local SwetsWise admin managers contact Swets and do the same.

Subject: Accessing BioMed Central titles via a subscription agent
Dear all,
We have recently had notification that BioMed Central titles are available
through our subscription agent gateway in addition to being available
directly from the publisher site. Initially we were pleased to hear this,
before we discovered that we would have to pay an annual fee of £170 for
access.
Has anyone else had the same experience? We are a bit confused as BioMed
Central are "committed to providing immediate access without charge to over
110 peer-reviewed biological and medical research open access journals it
publishes." Does this mean they are only free from the BioMed site or free
at whatever point they are accessed?
Regards,
Emma
