Hello folks,
Confused by metadata? Overwhelmed by acronyms? Here's someone who has tried to make it all make sense. Follow the link in the forwarded email below, picked up from the NKOS discussion list.
I'm pleased to say that MIDAS is now 'on the map'!

Subject: recommending a MetaMap
Recently I saw the bilingual poster that James M Turner designed. The way of
presenting the terms and their relationships as well as an acronym index are
very unique.
The online version is at:
James M Turner and Véronique Moal (2003). MetaMap.

The MetaMap is a pedagogical graphic which takes the form of a subway map. Its
aim is to help the information science community to understand metadata
standards, sets, and initiatives of interest in this area.
