Study on information on the allocation, availability and
use of radio spectrum in the Community (8 June 2004)
A consortium formed by Idate, Aegis and Bird & Bird have been appointed to carry out this study. The study will identify which information is currently available, carry out a survey among stakeholders in order to assess whether this information is sufficient for appropriate decision-making or what additional information should be made accessible. The study will furthermore look into how the information should be made available and formulate recommendations for improvements as compared with the present state of play. Input can be provided via a questionnaire distributed by the Consortium.

Towards High Speed Mobile Data Services - EC-organised
workshop on developing the mobile communications sector
Brussels, Belgium
The purpose of this one-day workshop is to hear the views of the players in the European mobile communications sector on the key challenges and barriers to the rollout of networks and services, focusing in particular on the move from voice to data services. This will provide useful background to the Communication on the sector, which the European Commission will address to the Council and the European Parliament. The workshop will be introduced by Commissioner Erkki Liikanen. The workshop is primarily addressed to senior management (regulatory affairs, R&D, content managers, etc – as appropriate). Attendance is free of charge but prior registration is required.
