Studies is one of the flagship programs in the Faculty of Arts. It is
rapidly growing
with over 700 enrolments at first year and more than 500 at second
and third years.
The section is seeking to build its profile and reputation as a
strong research and
teaching program in the Communications field. Areas currently taught
include new
media, cyberstudies and the changing face of traditional media and
the relationship
between media narratives, culture and power, but the new appointments will
be
encouraged to develop new areas of teaching and research at Monash.
