Dear Editor,
I'm writing to you to elicit your support for a literary anthology I'm
editing, 'The Book Of Hopes And Dreams'.
This book will be published in 2006 by Bluechrome Publishing and all profits
from it will go to Spirit Aid : a humanitarian relief organisation dedicated
to alleviating the suffering of children and young people whose lives have
been devastated by war, poverty, genocide, ethnic cleansing and all forms of
abuse. The profits will be specifically earmarked to supply medical aid to
areas of Afghanistan that have received little or no medical aid in the last
quarter of a century.
It is my earnest hope that this anthology will sell well and raise a
substantial amount of money for Spirit Aid, but in order to do so it needs
the highest quality submissions.
Already, I've received contributions from the award winning Scottish author,
Alasdair Gray and the renowned poet, John Heath-Stubbs.
However, to ensure the success of this book I need more contributions of
this calibre.
I'd be grateful if you would inform your readers and the writers you publish
about 'The Book Of Hopes And Dreams. If possible, could you mention it on
your web-site and, if you send out email newsletters/ updates, could you
mention it there too?
The deadline for submissions is 30th June 2005 and full submission
guidelines can be found on my web-site: www.thunderburst.co.uk
I can't reiterate enough how important this project is. Last year Spirit
Aid brought over £15,000 worth of medical aid to regions in Afghanistan that
hadn't had any medical attention in nearly a quarter of a century.
Thank you for giving this your consideration.
Yours Sincerely
Dee Rimbaud
