I couldn't agree more, and as I'm sure Mark (and everyone else) knows, the
separation of the categories of "religious" and "spiritual" was made by
Rudolph Otto in +The Idea of the Holy+ (1917) via the term/concept NUMINOUS.
Sorry to state the obvious, but sometimes it needs stating.
