I think on average I've had about a 50 per cent strike rate, and it's been
an intriguing part of the game. In some cases I've been totally surprised
when the name was revealed. I know I've tried to be fairly various; I've
written things which anyone familiar with my work might guess easily were
mine, but I hope others that were not.
I think people have on the whole just looked at what was in front of them,
which tend to be the more recent poems. In a way, I quite like the forward
motion of it, it's a bit like a flame going along a line of gunpowder...
I also liked the momentum of every day. Perhaps you could do a mini offsets
that had fewer nodes but happened every day?
