You're damn right. I was puzzled, btw, by the Royal Court's statement on
its decision to mount the play, that "no matter what it's quality" it
deserves to be seen. Good on them; but what do they mean? Are they saying
it's an awful play?
The other puzzling thing is that the Sikhs who presumably object to
portrayals of Sikh murder &c are threatening to murder (Neal Foster claims
that someone threatened to shoot him as well). It is a little funny -
perhaps mischievous of the journalist - to quote him underneath saying "I
think freedom of expression is more important than health and safety." As
long as it's not _his_ health and safety, I guess.
What's depressing is how hard-fought for rights can just vanish in the blink
of an eye.
