Barry MacSweeney's posthumous collection, Horses In Boiling Blood (Equipage)
will be launched at a Colpitts Poetry reading at Alington House, North
Bailey, Durham, this Friday, November 12, at 8pm. Admission is £3/£2 and
copies of the new book will be on sale.
A poetic collaboraton between Apollinaire and MacSweeney, the new collection
is a typically robust exploration of high and low times, pop, rock and
classical culture, plus the landscapes of Tyneside and Northumberland, as
they intermingle with Apollinaire's experiences of life, love and the First
World War.
A book launch not to be missed.
