Hi there
if your learners are apparently importing but you cannot see them is it possible you have given them all dodgy names? For example if their names start with a space you won't see them in the student alphabetic lists but you will see them is you try to add them to a class. Try creating a class and adding people to it to see what names are there. I've found names beginning with commas and all sorts and the only way we have found of removing them successfully (or putting them right) is to go into the SQL.
You could try checking the stats in the admin function to see if the number of students has actually gone up, this would give you a bit of an indication as to whether the import is actually importing or just going through the motions.
Regards
Heather

If you are running active directory on and MS network then you can
authenticate on the network account instead of importing users. We have
been doing this with Learnwise V2 for the last 18 months. Granada should
be able to provide details.

Subject: [VLES] Uploading Students to Learnwise
Could someone please help with a problem we are experiencing with
Learnwise? We would like to upload student data in one go instead of
having to put them on individually so we are trying to use a CSV file
for this task. However, when we import the file, we cannot find where
Learnwise puts it although it does tell us that we have done it
successfully. We thought perhaps that we are trying to import the CSV
file in the wrong format but cannot find anywhere that tells us what
format Learnwise wants.
Can anyone help us with this problem? I have several members of staff
tearing their hair out at the moment and the only solution we can see at
the moment is to have someone key in the data one by one (not something
we really want to do during the September onslaught!!!
