CHAIR IN RAIL TRANSPORT
The School of Civil Engineering and the Environment (RAE 2001 5*) at the
University of Southampton seeks applications from outstanding candidates
for a Chair in Rail Transport.
This is a new post which will expand the current activities of the
Transportation Research Group (TRG), and build upon the opportunities
afforded by the School’s key role in the EPSRC-funded universities’ centre
for rail systems research, Rail Research UK.
You will have a Doctorate in a relevant subject, a proven record of
scholarship and publication at the highest international level, evidence
of sustained research income and have demonstrated leadership ability to
motivate younger staff and facilitate collaboration both within and
outside the University.
This is an exciting opportunity to join TRG, which has some 25 staff and a
substantial international research portfolio, within a lively and dynamic
School.
