The National Space Centre is a unique visitor attraction and research
communications centre dedicated to all aspects of space. We are looking to
recruit talented individuals to join the team to help ensure that the level
of customer service the Space Centre offers is second to none.
Presenter
Full-Time to include weekends
Temporary Role until August 2004.
We are looking to recruit a confident, outgoing individual to join the
programmes team and assist in delivering high quality programmes to schools
and the public. The role will include presenting educational programmes in
the Space Theatre, training as a Flight Director in our Challenger Learning
centre, operating BT Stardome our portable planetarium, presenting outreach
programmes, delivering workshops and assisting with day-to-day operations of
the Space Centre.
The successful candidate will have a proven interest in astronomy and space
science, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and
effectively to many different audiences in a variety of settings.
Commitment to excellent standards of customer care is essential, whilst
experience of presenting similar educational programmes in a formal or
informal learning environment would be a distinct advantage. A full driving
licence is essential.
Working with Children - An Enhanced Disclosure is required for this role.
