We have taken the same sort of approach as Sara. If individuals are in
the
office they can wear what ever shoes they are comportable in. If they
are
required to go out to a company and potentially have to visit a factory
setting
or ward setting then "sensible" shoes are the order of the day.
When they are undertaking vaccinations etc in the department then
sensible
shoes are worn. Most staff just want the flexibility and ability to make
a
sensible risk assessment.
I am always amazed that nurses have these sorts of dilemas.
Has anyone taken a look at the footwear worn by Drs on the wards? Having
a
passion for shoes its something that I've taken a lot of interest in.
Worth
having a look at when you are next in a hospital setting.
