Hi Lindsay
We have employees working at - 45c. ( We make freeze dried coffee.)This is
obviously much colder than your people but perhaps you can make use of some
of the information. I don't have an electronic copy but if you would like to
see the health questionnaire we use I can send it to you by snail mail. We
also have well defined policy for length of time spent in cold room and PPE
etc. We do annual screening of these people and also give a Fitness to Work
pass with an expiry date. If you want any of this information or if I can
give you any help perhaps you can get back to me.
Regards
Chris

Policy & Resources
Nottinghamshire County Council
Hi every one out there,
does anyone have any special pre-employment paperwork/policy for individuals
working at extremely low temperatures.
Notts county council has a food production factory where employees have to
work in cold rooms down to -18c.
I would be grateful to hear from any of you with up to date info on this.
Thanks,
jock gordon.
