I report into the National H&S Manager. It has its moments but generally
works very well as the service I manage has a high level of autonomy. It
also allows a certain independence from HR which has its advantages.
I would agree with other comments that for H&S to report to OH is the more
logical option. We can do their job where as they can't really do theirs.
However, a lot of this has to do with individuals and organisational culture
and given the choice, I probably have the better reporting line at present.
