From Anglian Water
Hi Janet
I have spoken with our micro biologists and they advise that it is known for Pseudomonas aeuriginosa to be detected in water supplies, particularly where filtration is used. Hospitals are known to sample frequently for it. It is not considered a health risk unless individuals are immunocompromised. It is not considered a risk to pregnant women either.
Your taste issues could be associated with chlorination or water turn over if held in storage tanks somewhere. Cloudiness is often a result of air in the system so your plumbing could probably do with an overhaul. It could also be the result of mineral deposits, something we experience here in the Anglian region as our water comes from boreholes in the ground. If you are still concerned, it may be worth while talking to your local water company's' water quality department.
Best wishes
Mary

Good morning all,
Routine sampling of our water supply recently has found to contain the
micro-organism - Pseudomonas aeuroginosa. The water supply comes from the
mains direct and the water is filtered through filters attached to taps.
Prior to the testing, staffs have complained about the water tasting funny
and water appearing cloudy.
Can anyone tell me what effect this could have on human health and pregnant
women.
Replies will be greatfully received.
Thank you.
Kind regards.
Janet
Occupational Health.
