> Paul Younger (Newcastle University, Tel: 0191 222 7942) or Dr Hugh Potter

If anyone is hovering and thinking about this, Prof Younger gave
a lecture at the Newcastle Literary&Philosophical Soc
( www.litandphil.org.uk ) last week on the effects/causes and
dangers of flooded mine workings and it was fascinating, we could
have listened to him talk for double the time.
The dangers to drinking water supplies in the aquifers to the
east of Co Durham were somewhat scary.
He's very committed to his subject.
Hazel.
