UC&R North West section invites you to its first AGM as a reconstituted
group, to be held on Tuesday 16 November at 5.45pm in Room K1 at
Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester.
The AGM will be followed by a debate, commencing at c. 6.15pm. The motion
is:
Professional associations are vital to the work of library and information
professionals in higher education
to instigate a discussion on advocacy, invisibility and the role of the
professional association for library and information workers in higher
education and research libraries
We are delighted to welcome our two speakers:

Bill Simpson
University Librarian and Director of The John Rylands Library
The University of Manchester
(putting the case against the motion)
