Hello Charles ( and the list). Guy is a bit busy today finalising our evidence to the Select Committee on Culture's Inquiry into Public Libraries ( evidence due in tomorrow ) so I'll respond. Yes, CILIP will be commenting as loudly as possible on the government's failure to take on board the recommendations of the Select Committee on scientific publications regarding open access. We discussed this at a meeting of CILIP's Executive Board today and I would hope that CILIP/UC&R and SCONUL/CURL can work together rapidly on a response. Watch this space! Bob.
