So, why is it that CILIP don't fulfill that function that isn't unreasonable
to expect from a professional body? Fair enough if CILIP don't see it as
part of their remit, but at least there has to be a good reason why not
since (a) other professional bodies do it for their members and (b) no one
else fulfills this function for all library/information professionals in the
UK...
Or are librarians supposed to work just for the love of managing knowledge
and wanting to serve mankind, so any money is a bonus in itself...?
