Do you regularly handle music-related enquiries?
Do you who wish to widen your knowledge of music-related Internet sites?
At the end of the day participants will have:
· broadened their knowledge of music Internet sites
· gained practical hands-on experience answering enquiries using the Internet
· received useful tips on different strategies to tackle music enquiries
Sessions include:
The music cybrarian's tools and tips: search engines, subject trees and search strategies for music
Pick of the OPACS: useful online music catalogues
'Plainsong to pop': some top music sites
There are also practical sessions using several search engines and subject trees, and answering music enquiries using Internet resources
The course runs from 10.00 to 16.00 and costs £64 (€96) per person / IAML members £49 (€74) / Students £34 (€51`). Student bursaries available.
