Chest are pleased to announce that enough sites have commited to the
proposed brad Agreement for it to go ahead. Chest are currently working
on the contract and will be making an announcement soon, the Agreement
will start on 1 August 2004. Any sites wanting further information

b) Alexander Street Press Drama Collection - Advance News
------------------------------------------------------------
Following a very successful trial period and negotiation between Eduserv
Chest, Thompson Henry, the UK agent, and the Alexander Street Press,
prices for the drama databases have been agreed. Chest is delighted to
announce the significant discounts achieved in advance of the proposed
agreement start on 1st August 2004. There is separate pricing for higher
and further education. The databases are to be Athens authenticated.
Prices are for a site licence and exclude VAT.

c) Expression of Interest MicroPatent Product
----------------------------------------------
We are trying to reach as many people as possible with this message so
please forward this message to any colleagues who work in research and
development, university spin-off companies or business partners with
whom the university/college collaborates.
Chest has recently approached MicroPatent to discuss a possible
Agreement for their PatentWeb & Aureka and Trademark.com. PatentWeb
offers is a massive online repository of searchable Full Text and
corresponding PDF images of the original patent publications, resulting
in the largest commercial collection of patent data available globally.
Aureka is a secure electronic environment for analyzing and
collaborating on IP information. Together PatentWeb & Aureka enable you
to research, review, order, evaluate, and manage IP data, turning raw
patent content into actionable intelligence. Trademark.com is a
searchable database of trademark and domain names.

Trials:

A two-week free trial is available to sites, to access the trial please
email [log in to unmask] with 'Eduserv Chest Trial' as the subject
line and including your name, organisation, email address and telephone
number.
The proposed Agreement would be for 3 years with Annual Subscription
charges. Eduserv Chest is aware that one of HEFCE and SHEFCE's strategic
aims is to promote and support the transfer of knowledge between Higher
Education and industry and Commerce, with this is mind MicroPatent are
offering a Technology Transfer Agencies Site Licence.

Pricing is for the first year of the Agreement and exclude VAT, prices
will increase by no more than 5% per year.
