Yes and it seems to me that Mr Kent's thing is library related and is as
relevant as people asking for copies of videos or discussing catloguing.
Surely as Librarians and Information Scientists we must encourage a free
flow of ideas and discussion. I f people don't agree with Mr Kent, can they
not say so, or indeed just delete the messages, rather than shutting down
the discussion . We had this same discussion on the list about 3 years ago,
aslong as Mr Kent is making a new point or disclosing new information rather
than simply repeating the same thing over and over. I also wonder that
people cannot use the auto unscribe function ( in the same way they
subscribed ) rather than tell us all about ( but I can and have deleted
there emails) - let us remember Voltaire "I may not agree with what you say,
but I'll defend to the death your right to say
it."
