WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is intended for cataloguers dealing with music (printed or recorded) in a MARC21-based system.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Please note that this course assumes some knowledge of music cataloguing. Delegates not familiar with music cataloguing should consider attending our music cataloguing course first
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the day delegates will
* be familiar with the provisions of MARC21
* be aware of those areas that differ from UKMARC
* know those areas of specific relevance to music and recordings
* have practised the application of MARC21 to real examples
* have considered the desired outcomes for music catalogue records in a MARC21 system
This course is interactive and learner-centred and is not dependent on any specific proprietary cataloguing system.
