The Musician's Union is a trade union - CILIP isn't.
For something a little more similar the ALA might a better example.

Membership fees are based on your length of service, and membership of
sub-groups is added to the final sub due (between $40 and $50 for each
group). A third year individual member's fee is $100, which is a
substantially less than ?200.

pounds for earnings upto 15,000 GB pounds; 220 GB pounds for earnings of
15,000+ GB pounds
