Working Hours: 37 per week
Salary/Grade: G: £15,795
Description: We are offering the rare opportunity for an individual to gain experience of electronic information, specifically management of the Libraries and Information web pages which are part of the Gloucestershire County Council website. You will be responsible for updating, maintaining and publishing content for the Libraries and Information intranet and internet sites. You will also be coordinating, advising and supporting Library staff in their role as "authors" of information for the intranet and website. As part of the Information and Adult Learning team, you will play a key role in the provision of electronic information services in libraries across the county. This includes managing and maintaining the Community Contacts database of clubs, societies and organizations across Gloucestershire. You will be a qualified librarian who is skilled in the use of Word, Access, Excel and creating internet web pages. EDCL training and knowledge of a Content Management System would be an advantage, but training will be provided. Alternatively, someone with the relevant IT skills and knowledge of working in the public sector will be considered.
