Dear Lis-linkers,
We have been given two hours on 6th October as a
Staff Development evening. This means I'll have approx 200 people in
the Library from 4.30 to 6.30pm! The idea is to use it as a relaxing,
'time to explore the Library'/ and stress-busting' idea. Ideas we have
so far include-
-extended reading group (we already run a reading group)
-demonstrations of the electronic resources available
-displays of lesser used stock such as CD-ROMs for loan
-refreshments and spaces to chat to colleagues
I wondered if anyone had done anything like this and had any hints or
tips?
Also, I would like to be able to give out freebies such as pens, pads
of paper and possibly stress-busting novelties (but don't have a lot to
spend!). Does anybody have any good contacts?
Any ideas would be gratefully recieved. Thanks.
