No no, I knew it wasn't my surgery. You didn't need to put the smiley in, it
was easy to spot! I know what goes on at the front line and cringe
sometimes, but then our receptionists come from the same population that
they serve (no-one else will work in this area) so they have the same
difficulties as the patients who abuse and upset them. What can you do? It
sometimes seems we are running an occupational therapy scheme.
On the other hand when they are good, they make me feel it's all worthwhile
both from the point of delivering the service to patients and getting the
receptionists in a position to move on and up (which they do of course so we
have to start again).
Oh crikey, rambling again.
