I don't think UKCHIP would do revalidation instead of the GMC but if it does
some sort of reaccreditation that would be helpful for Ahmad's revalidation
folder. Once he's revalidated he can practise as a registered /licensed
medical practitioner. This no more entitled his to do general practice than
my revalidation entitles me to do brain surgery. One of the things GMC
registered Drs are supposed to do is only practise in accordance with their
level of training and experience / competence.
Revalidation in medical informatics isn't accreditation to do MI, it's the
environment in which he will demonstrate his fitness to practise as a
doctor.
