You can do everything to want on screen - the proposed recipient will then
be expected to come to your surgery to collect a note entitling them to collect
the document from their community documentarian of their choice. However
the recipient will have to pay an NHS tax of £6.30 on each document received
(unless the recipient is exempt and completes the exemption of the back of the note)
Due to concerns about confidentiality the reason for the document will not
be made apparent on the note (or finished document) unless the end users permission
is obtained in advance.
Document will then have to go to the Document Pricing Authority which will
check the validity of your document and the recipients reasons for exception - an
agreed payment will be made to Microsoft for each document - the formula for
calculating this agreed price is one which guarantees Microsoft a return on its
investment
Your PCO will then start employing Document Advisors to ensure that you are
not wasting NHS resources with your documents.
