Plenty of specialist shops out there but can thoroughly recommend Superfi
(www.superfi.co.uk) - they're based in Nottingham but have about 15 stores
across England from Hull to Manchester to London and currently have an
internet sale going on. All manner of different speakers available

Hi Gillian
Owain reckons you'd get a much better choice if you went for small
freestanding speakers mounted high up on wall brackets. - go and
look / listen to some.

Subject: advice on ceiling speakers
Dear all,
We are doing major building work at home- and I thought it would be nice to
replace our HiFi and while I am doing it have ceiling speakers instead of
the big black boxes. We had thought to have 4 speakers mounted to match the
brass down lighters in each corner.
I found these http://www.cybermarket.co.uk/ishop/923/shopscr2957.html
But they clearly advise not for hifi use.
Please will a hifi officianado advise- we are not majorly into tweeters etc!
TIA
Gillian
