IIRC,
if you're NOT an NHS body then the contract between you and the NHS is a
civil one and you can take them to court to settle disputes (which would
cost you lots of money unless you also win full costs) but you have certain
civil 'rights'.
if you're an NHS body and you have a contract with another NHS body then
this is not a civil contract and you can't take them to court (unless your
civil rights have been infringed) but all disputes are settled via
arbitration.
There might be more to it, but this is what I remembed!
