That would make good sense if there were no border security between the NHS
Net and the Internet.
If it has been set up, then it is very tempting to conclude either there is in
fact no security, in the opinion of those responsible, or whoever is running
it does not know very much about what they are running.
Outside on the Internet of course it is a standard... SMTP AUTH.
