Not sure what the problem is? Small amounts of bleeding will result in
positive FOB. I suppose it's like microscopic as opposed to macroscopic
haematuria.
Positive FOBs can't differentiate site of bleeding and if you mean that FOB
_can_ be positive with upper GI bleeding of course this is true. However
malignant polyps not unusually cause positive FOBs and some believe it
could be used as a screening test.
