I fully agree with you on this one Adrian. As you know, I have recently
moved practice and am presently campaigning to outlaw this and also move
most scripts to a 2-month cycle. Presently most patient are on a 1 month
cycle making scripts a nightmare in workload. As you may guess, the local
pharmacists are not happy about this one either. Quite frankly I think that
the 1 month scripts make the workload so heavy that good medicines
management is actually jepoardised by the volume of work. You may be pleased
to know that we are actually in the 'throes' of changing the scripts over at
the moment - quite a heavy workload, but worthwhile.
