It's an expensive way of accumulating a no-claims discount, particularly
at a time when the chance of claims is fairly high. The only company
that I could find that would insure a car in my own or my wife's name
and cover for all drivers including under-25s was CIS. This worked out
more than £1K a year cheaper than insuring in one of my children's names
and enabled them both to learn in and share the vehicle with us.
