We are GMS and initially had no ES for post-op and wound care - now there is
one on offer at a rate too low to be economic & as our nurse team is fully
occupied we have no spare capacity to let at low rates.so we have not signed
up. I'm not sure whether your PCT has an ES on offer or not.
Your letter seems long, wordy and emotional. Maybe you are feeling guilty
and defensive? Are they accusing your of being unprofessional (a low dirty
trick, always gets doctors in the sensitive places)? Perhaps something a
more businesslike, neutral and concise response would betray your reaction
less. Of course it's a bit difficult to comment sensibly without seeing
their letter. If they are raising a contract dispute about alleged failure
to provide essential services that is a different matter. Your reply seems
to go into issues of contractual obligations but also funding & it might be
better to tease out the separate issues.
If you really want more, feel free to email off list.
