Alternatively Service pack your Windows setup (including MS Office) and
install a decent antivirus client and then you will be relatively safe.

The latter is, and more so if your glove-box is not running Windows.
The former is unclear to me, what is clear is that reading mail with Outlook
or Outlook Express represents a risk, it may be the case that even
_receiving_ mail with them is a risk they are so helpful in their unbidden
actions, and that not using Windows to read mail reduces risks to
undetectedly low levels and can theoretically be expected to do so and
continue to do so.
