If I heard someone had given morphine to a patient with acute asthma, my
first thought would be that they had mistaken it for acute LVF.
Sometimes it can be very difficult to tell the difference, for a doctor
armed only with a stethoscope who is presented with a breathless,
cyanosed patient.
