This is exactly why I am and remain surprised that the pathologist is
the only one called before the GMC in relation to this. The note he
elected not to emphasise is, I understand, contained within her hospital
case record from her admission notes. Surely this means that the
admitting team and the supervising consultant were fully aware of the
'unusual treatment of acute asthma'. I have seen no suggestion that this
raises a serious question of governance.
