Getting into MP3 and digital music more now - admittedly some time after
it was first trendy - partly because of wifi, weirdly enough.
Any advice on best places for getting *legal* music? I have this
problem with music I buy, in that I like it to be mine and usable pretty
much as I like, short of commercial gain. Thus I find itunes approach a
little annoying - proprietary file format, limits you to 3 "windows"
PCs, no *nux support. I want to play it from a linux server and client,
as well as Windows, Pocket PC, on an Archos jukebox and be able to burn
CDs for the car.
E-music seems not bad, though not the broad catalogue of itunes (though
a lot of stuff by The Fall, which can't be bad :) )
Kazaa is scary. brrrrr.
So, where is good. And cheap?
Ta.
