We got a Seca CT8000 ECG machine. This machine is easy to use and
produces very nice looking ECGs and the built in rechargeable battery
means you can wheel it around without worrying about the mains lead.
On the down side the built in interpretation software is a nightmare.
Every tracing comes out with "possible infarct" on it, so we've
switched the interpretation off. We also got the software to transfer
recordings to a PC but this is not good - very complicated to install
and use.
We got a Microlab spirometer - ours looks the same as the 3500 model
on Williams Medical's web site tho I think ours is an earlier model
number. This has a built in thermal printer and again has a
rechargeable battery. It's very easy to use, small enough to take to
patient's houses if needed and produces straightforward results with
helpful interpretation. Definitely recommended.
