I can no longer use my built-in modem to dial-up, when away from home, and
have to rely on a network cable or WiFi connection if and when I can find
one.
Error 633 seems quite common with XP - trawling Google brings up a whole
host of potential solutions (some of which I've tried, the others don't seem
to apply), and there are not a few other frustrated would-be dial-uppers out
there as well.
I'm taking a gamble that one or two of you might have come across this
issue, so you will understand when I say that I can't find telephon.ini on
my machine, nor can I find tapiini.exe, the file that is supposed to help
recreate it. There is also no dial-up adapter on my machine either, but
didn't those get done away with anyway in XP?
Any offers, other than the usual anti-Windows diatribe from certain
quarters?
