Midge, if I understand him correctly, suggests that we all ought to
eschew signing part 2s forthwith.
The risk seems to me to be low. There can't be that many serial killer
GPs in circulation at present. I (almost) only ever sign part 2s for
two doctors whom I know extremely well and would trust to be my own
doctor (as indeed one of them is).

The point of refusing to sign would be to express our dismay at this
immoral panic and scapegoating. On the other hand £50.50 is £50.50 (£30
after tax), so I suspect that dismay will give way to expediency.
