We have quite a good system in Nottingham whereby the practice takes the
bloods, the hospital then does the "dosing" and informs the patients by
posting their record book back to them. The GPs undertake to inform the
patient if an urgent change in dosage is required. Suitable payment is
made to the GPs, and the system seems to work quite well.
