The lambeth walk group practice is technically part of a Medical college in
south London. (we used to describe the practice as the slush fund for the
remaining academics in the department of primary care, because no separate
accounts were kept for 5 years.)
Both Kings and the PCT have ganged up against the practice to try and force
Them to agree to a plan, with no transparent disclosure [still after 2
years] of the future financial risks to the practice or indeed the PCT.
We are experiencing what feels like both ostrich head in the sand behaviour
and scapegoating of the practice at the same time - which is a strange
combination. Is this an unusual situation or does this sort of madness
happen all over the country :-)
We need help on grounds of clinical and organisation governance.
If I shared the story a bit more might you be able to help?
