polyclonal IgA rises are also found in some inflammatory disorders
particularly spondyloarthritis - Ankylosing Spondyliis and psoriatic
arthritis - and in primary sjogren's syndrome

Subject: polyclonal rise in IgA
In the last couple of weeks, there have been a couple of such reports
filtering back. I think, though not 100% sure, that these are triggered by
an abornally high lymphocyte count.
ie if a patient has a FBC which reveals increased lymphocytes then the lab
are doing assays on IgM, IgG and IgA.
So, I get a FBC report back, a report with the actual amounts of
immunoglobulin, usually indicating high IgA, and another report stating:
"polyclonal rise in IgA".
What *does* it all mean?
Interestingly, Googling "polyclonal rise in IgA" give *very* few hits.
