Under the new contract the prevalence (or more accurately the ratio of
practice prevalence to national prevalence) is square rooted before
money is calculated.
This leads to a loss of cash from general practice, averaging £1000 per
practice this year and rising to over £1500 next year, or around 13 points.
In England these losses total 8 1/4 million this year and over 12
million next year.
Another triumph of negotiation.
